Dear list members,
Please let me take up a bit of list bandwidth to announce the
following conference:
A Politics of Contingency: Critical Assessments of the Political
Theory of Judith Butler
The Department of Politics and International Relations at Swansea
University is pleased to announce a one day international conference
on the political theory of Judith Butler. The conference will be held
at Swansea University on 12 May. The conference will bring together
political theorists in a forum designed to engage with the political
thought of Butler, a thinker famous for her contributions to feminism
and queer theory but whose contributions to thinking the political
have been less well-explored. Speakers will include Dr. Moya Lloyd,
Professor Diana Coole, Professor Terrell Carver, Dr. Lisa Disch, and
Dr. Samuel A. Chambers.
