Hi everyone!

I have to do a special edition and write about
political activism in Latinoamerica concerned to
public opinion and to intelectuals...
i am thinking that the broadcasted confrontation that
Foucault had with Chomsky back in 1971 is rather an
example of those problems that are suposed to
political activism...(the topics related to justice
and power, the international rights and the state
ilegal acts, etc...) but mostly, Elder´s interview
could be the most ilustrative examplification of how
ideas could be historically defended -talking about
Foucaults actitude- or how ideologies could promote
tecnological and militaristic interests -talking about
this foolish estructurated thought that Chosmky was
obstinated to protagonize...

i would be very thankfull if somebody could throw some
points of view about this, and particulary i would
love to know your opinion about Noam Chomsky public
and political protagonism.... Do you think that this
confrontation is somehow a breakpoint of Chomsky´s
theorical work?
