I agree it could be, and probably is, both. But ultimately, we cannot
(always) choose the exact moment of our death, even if we do decide to
make the final exit. And is not this subjugation too the effect of some
non-subjective power beyond any further possible escapes? I think it does
matter ex post facto - in the web of things, at least to those who are
left behind. No?
