To talk about the sustainability (do you have a kind of Althusserian
notion in mind?) of power is to surely to fall back into the position of
seeing power as something that is possessed which would entail needing
strategies to retain/sustain it. Power is exercied not possessd so any
technique of exercising power will simultaneoulsy be a method of
sustaining it. From that point of view you might say that the
sustainability of power is all that Foucauldians look at!
