I think that you are correct, Geraldine, when you say that Foucault is
interested in the mechanics of truth, or one could say, the techniques by
which truth maintains itself in a particular episteme. Have you read
"Two Lectures" in POWER/KNOWLEDGE? It is very appropriate to the topic
you've raised, and also a very good piece by Foucault. Don't worry about
being a second-year undergrad; you're on the right track!
