I am a developmental/molecular biologist who uses Foucault's work
(primarily his power-knowledge writings) in conjunction with social, cultural
studies of science folks to look at scientific practice and the intersection of that
practice in situations where "discipline" and "normalization" can be expected
to be occurring: reproductive interventions, genetic screening,....
I've been struggling with Foucault for more than 15 years (...you'd think I'd
have it "right" by now!).
I look forward to the reading and discussion.
