Erik Lindberg's comment that Foucault learned from Derrida after JD put Madness
... and OT through the ringer sounds accurate to me. In "What is an author" MF
specifically mentions JD's notion of ecriture as a means of subverting and ove
rcoming the "author-function." Recently reread this essay. It's worth looking
at again...and can surprise you...
