RE: Miller and New Foucault Text

like everyone else on this list, i'm pleased that the definitive collection
of foucault's essays and interviews is being published (though what i
wouldnt give for a couple of hours alone with the unpublished fourth
volume of the history of sexuality!).  it's kind of ironic, isnt it,
that the defert collection together with barry smart's multi-volume
set of critical essays have contributed to the institutionalization of
foucault (and to the scholarly industry surrounding him) in a way that
he found very amusing to contemplate.  8-)
